When you hear the term “Facility Management” (or “FM” for short), what comes to mind? For many people, they might picture someone doing maintenance in the utility closet of an office suite. How Facility Management is Organized
Different organizations structure the responsibility for their FM-related activities in different ways. Some facility owners/landlords have in-house staff who are responsible for some or all of the activities listed above. Others hire specialized FM companies to do the work under the supervision of an in-house person. And many combinations between those two extremes are also possible.
Regardless of how your organization handles the FM responsibilities, what’s most important is that the work is done efficiently and effectively.
